Stop saying Resolutions/Commitments each New Year!

I don’t do Resolutions/Commitments, but I do make lists of what I need to get rid of and bring forth into a New Year. I start each new year with a new journal and tangible lists to see and remind me of what I no longer need in my life, what is holding me back, and what I can do to create more joy and ease.

There is something powerful about beginning the year with a blank page. A new journal becomes more than paper; it becomes a quiet space where intentions can form naturally, rather than feeling forced. Writing things down helps us see clearly what is ready to stay with us and what is ready to be released.

Every year, people make resolutions and commitments to change their lives. But oftentimes, those can be hard to keep, or they’re put off until they’re forgotten. Sometimes resolutions feel like pressure instead of possibility. They can quietly turn into expectations that feel heavy rather than inspiring.

This year, why not try something different?

Instead of making resolutions or promises, let’s focus on what needs to be let go of to bring more abundance and happiness into the New Year. When we release what no longer supports us, we naturally create space for something new to enter. Letting go is not about losing something; it is about making room for what truly belongs in our lives.

Let’s look at Soul Coaching®️, aromatherapy, crystals, clutter clearing, and journaling as ways that we can tap into our inner wisdom and create holistic healing.

Soul Coaching®️ helps you uncover any blocks or patterns that need releasing so you can move forward. It gently encourages you to listen to your inner voice and notice where your energy may be asking for change or renewal.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils, which help create emotional changes within us. Even a simple scent can shift our mood, calm our thoughts, or bring a feeling of comfort and grounding during times of transition.

Crystals are excellent for energetic balancing by creating harmony in your space. They can serve as quiet reminders of intention, helping us stay connected to what we are inviting into our lives as the year begins.

Clutter clearing involves purging physical and digital clutter that no longer brings you joy. This frees up space for new creative energy. When we clear our surroundings, we often notice that our thoughts become clearer too. Releasing what feels heavy in our environment can create a surprising sense of lightness within us.

Finally, journaling provides clarity on our ideas, enabling us to bring them to light. Writing helps us notice patterns, celebrate progress, and recognize what our hearts have been quietly telling us all along. Sometimes the answers we are looking for are already inside us; they just need space to appear on the page.

So instead of making resolutions this year, let’s focus on all the things we can do for ourselves to improve our lives, list what needs to be released, and give ourselves permission to step out of our comfort zone, allowing beautiful surprises and magical moments to arise!

You may even find that returning to your list throughout the year becomes a gentle reminder that change does not happen all at once. It unfolds slowly, one intention at a time, one small shift at a time.

When we begin the year with awareness instead of pressure, the path ahead often feels lighter, clearer, and filled with unexpected possibilities.
